How I Whiten My Teeth At Home with Smile Brilliant

Happy Friday, babes! Today’s topic is all about them pearly whites. Awhile back, I was approached by Smile Brilliant and was given the opportunity to test out their teeth whitening kit created by dental professionals. Although my teeth were not too bad to begin with, my daily 2+ cups-of-coffee-a-day lifestyle was definitely taking a wear on them. In the past, I have tried whitening strips but was not too impressed with the results and found the process rather annoying. This is where Smile Brilliant comes in!

Once you receive the kit at home, you take 15 minutes out of your day to create your dental impressions by mixing the provided base and catalyst paste and forming a mold with the blue trays. You ship the impressions back out to the company (free of charge) and wait 3-5 work days. Personally, I think this is what makes the whole process better than all the other whitening systems I have tried. The custom-fitted trays make everything so much easier and whitening is much more comfortable than your standard strips. It’s just like wearing retainers and allows you to multitask while you whiten.
As far as whitening, the process is so simple. You take the syringe of whitening gel and apply a layer in the trays. Make sure your teeth are dry and just pop the trays in. You can leave the trays in from 1-3 hours. After, rinse and apply the desensitizing gel the same way and leave this in for 15 minutes. Th e teeth whitening trays I ordered includes a total of 9 applications.

Before and After

I am so impressed with this Smile Brilliant whitening system. This is my honest review and I could see the results even after the first application. If you are interested, check out this article on the benefits of choosing custom-fitted trays and this video on the entire process. It is so effective and definitely worth the money if you are looking for an at home teeth whitening solution.

Nighttime Skincare Routine

Happy hump day, babes! I have not done a beauty post in quite sometime, so I thought I would share my nighttime skincare routine. My skin is honestly in the best shape it has ever been in because I have been very diligent in taking care of it. FYI I have a dry skin type. Currently, I am using this O Hui Miracle Moisture sample kit. Skincare can be quite expensive, so before investing in full-sized bottles, I think these deluxe sample kits are a great way to make sure your skin does not react to any of the products and that it actually is effective. This is my first experience with O Hui (have been using for the past 2 months or so), but I love all of these products. I truly believe Korean skincare is some of the best on the market. Here’s a breakdown of all the steps. I am not sure if I am layering the O Hui product in the most effective way, but I found that it works well nonetheless.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water & DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
(I forgot to mention that between steps 1 & 2, I cleanse my face with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser)

Every other night between steps 1 and 2, I try to do a face mask. This routine has one wonders for my skin. It has never been softer or smoother before. Our skin is something we should take the time and money to invest in. Your future self with thank you! Have you guys ever tried Korean skincare? What are some of your favorite products?

Review: Diamond Hair Styler

Hello, lovelies! I have something to confess to you…

I have been using the same $20 Conair hair straightener for the past 8 years.. It has been the only flat iron I have owned and it is so old it is starting to rust on the sides. I was a firm believer that if it works than why replace it. However, when Irresistible Me offered to upgrade my tool, I took the opportunity and I honestly think this hair tool has changed my life?

I have taken the liberty of throwing out my previous tool for this new ceramic hair straightener and it’s safe to say I was blown away when I first used it. I was used to having to wait a good 45 seconds for my flat iron to heat up and this new Diamond hair straightener took a mere 15 seconds and has the ability to heat up to 450 degrees. The digital display and green light up display make it super easy to use.

After flat ironing my hair as I usually do, the first thing I noticed how was how remarkably smooth my hair was! The ceramic plates of the tool are coated with crushed diamond particles and tourmaline and this protects your hair by keeping all the natural oils and moisture intact. Even visually my hair looked a lot smoother and sleeker.

Not to mention, this flat iron had a lot of nice safety features that my older, cheaper tool did not have. It has cool touch grips, a long 360 degree swivel cord and an automatic shut off after 30 minutes of inactive use. All these features make it much easier to handle.

Notable Features of the Diamond Hair Styler:
  • Diamond Hi-Tech coating on ceramic plates to protect hair and maintain natural oils
  • Digital display
  • Instant heat up (15 sec.)
  • 360 degree swivel cord
  • Thumb print and cool tips
  • Automatic shut off in 30 minutes

Upgrading my flat iron has definitely maximized my time in the morning by allowing me to get faster a bit quicker but most importantly, my hair stays looking good all throughout the day! If you happen to be in the market for a new hair tool, I highly recommend you take a look at this Irresistible Me Diamond Hair Tool! xo

Skin Care: Mario Badescu Multimasker & DHC Cleansing Oil

Hello, beauties! As you know by now, my repertoire is mainly fashion, however today I wanted to try something different. Recently, in the mail I got some skincare goodies and thought I would try my hand at a proper beauty review for you all. I took advantage of Urban Outfitter’s Cyber Monday sale and picked up the Mario Badescu Multimasker. I have always wanted to try out this brand because I hear youtuber’s rave about it (specifically Weylie, hey girl). Basically, it is an assorted pack of 3 different face masks. The idea is that when treating your skin, there are different problematic sections and they should be treated as so. Instead of placing one kind of product all over, this set allows you to really customize the treatment to maximize the benefits. They recommend you should use each 2-3 times a week for optimal results.

My favorite of the 3 has to be the Mario Badescu Enzyme Revitalizing Mask whose purpose is to draw impurities from the skin to leave it nourished, refreshed, and renewed. First off, this one smells amazing thanks to the papaya and grapefruit extracts in it. I could smell it when it was on my skin and mmm it was actually kind of distracting it smelled that good! My skin is not that sensitive but I heard that this a HG product for those who do experience that. It is very gentle on the skin and gives a nice healthy glow when removed. The best part is that my skin is so soft and this lasts for a good day.

Second, the Mario Badescu Flower and Tonic Mask unclogs pores and removes excess oils. This one is rich in antioxidant ferulic acid that helps brighten, hydrate, and support collagen content. The first thing I noticed about this mask is the formula is quite liquidy. In fact, I didn’t expect it when I first opened it and had a minor spill — oops. Although, it does not smell quite as nice as the aforementioned it does have a nice, clean scent to it. It cleanses and purifies my face really well. In fact, I had the remenants of a pimple from earlier that week and it helped heal the area and reduce the noticability of that spot.

Lastly, the Mario Badescu Drying Mask is the one deeper in color. It is a colloidal sulfur based mask that aims to dry pimples aand oil while also clarifying problematic, acne-prone skin. I read in a review that this mask is also great for acne in other places like the back. However, I have not really given this mask a proper try so I won’t dwell on it too much. Luckily, my skin type is mostly dry and I do not experience much break outs except for the occasional pimple every now and then, If you are interested, let me know and I can do a follow up review in a month or so!

In addition to the Mario Badescu products, I also picked up the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (no longer on Urban Outfitters). It is a makeup remover that dissolves all traces of dirt and cosmetics (even waterproof) while also nourishing your complexion. The main ingredient is olive oil and it pretty much has that texture. You use dry hands to massage onto your face and then add some water. As I mentioned earlier, my skin is relatively dry so I thought this would be a good product to try out. So far, I am loving it. It removes makeup fairly well and moisturizes my skin! I am not going to substitute it for my makeup remover completely, but maybe use it every couple of days or so to give my skin a treat.

That concludes my mini skincare review for you all! I hope you enjoyed it and felt it somewhat useful. It is quite rare that I treat myself to some decent skincare, but that cyber monday sale was too good to pass up! If you try out Mario Badescu or DHC, let me know what you think of them! And if you have any recommendations for me, let me know that too!
